Curtains Up with Stella McCartney
We teamed up with Stella McCartney, David Lynch and Tête-à-Tête to create a short film about meditation.
Directed by David Lynch's son Austin Lynch and produced by fine artist Case Simmons, the creative duo behind Los Angles-based studio Tête-à-Tête, the film offers a rare insight into Lynch behind the lens, teaching us about his theory of film as well as his lifelong pursuit to bring Transcendental Meditation to anyone in the world who wants it.
Throughout the film, an eclectic cast of cameos and creative talents make appearances (including Stella McCartney BØRNS, Petra Cortright, Tommy Dorfman, Carolyn Funk, Sky H1, Jenni Hensler, Lola Kirke, Sasha Lane, Ashton Sanders & Imaad Wasif) in order to highlight the benefits of Transcendental Meditation in addressing trauma and the epidemic of toxic stress.
The film premiered at Galeries des Galeries as part of Stella McCartney’s Sanctuary of Stillness - a meditation based experience in Paris. It then debuted worldwide online via NOWNESS and screened at both the Festival of Disruption New York 2018 and Los Angeles 2018. It has been viewed more than 75,000 times on YouTube alone.
